18-year-old Ryan Hinchcliffe was on his way to his internship at StoneStreet Cinema in Montclair, NJ. Normally, Hinchcliffe would sit down in the office to help optimize StoneStreet’s social media presence. Today, however, Hinchcliffe made a life-altering decision: he brought a box of Krispy Kreme donuts to the office.

“Yeah, I just kind of found them on the sidewalk and figured, ‘Why not bring them in?’” Hinchcliffe gave a detailed account of the events leading up to finding the box. “Well, I found them on the sidewalk and only one donut was missing, so I just took the whole box.”

This wasn’t the first time that Hinchcliffe tried to impress StoneStreet Cinema co-founders Christopher Plunkett and Andrew K. Meyer. “I brought in this cool light-up cactus yesterday,” he told reporters, “but they just didn’t think it was as cool as I did.” Plunkett and Meyer refused to comment on the coolness factor of the cactus. However, they did give some insight into how they reacted when Hinchcliffe walked in with the donuts.

Meyer described the event thoroughly. “We were sitting at our desks when the door opened. We didn’t even realize that he had donuts until he said, ‘Hey, I’ve got some donuts.’”

“At that moment, I knew he deserved the position of CEO,” Plunkett told reporters.

Journalists tried to follow up with Hinchcliffe on how he felt about the whole ordeal, but he had already left the office to purchase a brand new Mercedes SL Roadster Convertible on the company credit card.
